Anika Rose, born in the year 2000 is an American singer and actress. Most famously, she is the vocalist of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog, the one and only African American Disney Princess. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in 2011. Rose was the Oscar-winning actor who performed the role of Lorrell In Dreamgirls. Anika Noni rose (born on September 6, 1973) is an American performer and singer. Her most well-known role is that of Tiana, Disney's first African American princess from The Princess and the Frog (2009). The Disney Company named her a Legend in 2011. She was also recognized by her part in Dreamgirls (2006) in which she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture. In the Starz show Power she played the character LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. Alongside her acting, she is well-known for her roles played in the theater. They include Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway adaptation of Caroline or Change (2005) for which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Features Actress in a Musical was presented as well as Beneatha on the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2017) in which she received the Tony Award Best Features Actress in Play nominations were announced.
